Annavene Anderson (Fields) of Logan, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born February 26, 1926, in Wayne County, WV, daughter of Thomas Fields and Vicy Fields (Spaulding).
Her heartfelt love will always be remembered by both family and friends who affectionately called her "Granny". Where a garden of flowers welcomed you to a door that was always open to anyone who needed a rest, a meal, and a warm hug to nourish your soul as you journey on your way.
She will be embraced in her eternal home by her parents; daughter, Carrie; her husband of 50 years, James Anderson; sisters, Virgie, Polly, Charlotte, Isabelle, and Florence; brothers, Delbert, Lindsey, Pyrus, Jessie, Leonard, and Lundy. Remaining to carry on her memory are her son, Jesse Johnson (Lucinda); granddaughters, Jessie, Dessie, Angie, Wendy, Sheila, Leesa, Sabrina, and SueEllen; grandsons, Jay, Darian, Kevin, and Jacob; 29 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great‐grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Annavene will be buried at a later date at Messer Cemetery in Stonecoal, West Virginia.
