Ariel Lea Lobdell 69 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born on November 23, 1941 in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father Burnell Lobdell and her mother Lillian (Hamilton) Lobdell and her grandson, Brandon Lupher.
She is survived by her brothers, Larry, Bernard, and Lane Lobdell and her sons, Curtis Lupher married to Kelly Lupher-Rathka and Damon Lupher married to Bertha (Perez) Lupher, also her grandchildren, Kerrison and Alexander. A special thank you to FairHoPe Hospice and Amber Brooks for their care of her. She had many lifetime friends who will miss her.
Ariel was a teacher, science supervisor and principal for many years when she left the education system; she later worked for Medco Call Center for the last 12 years. She enjoyed science, history, crafts, horses, art and mostly of all, her grandchildren and family. She earned her Masters Degree in education, joined the United States Coast Guard Reserve and later entered the Coast Guard ready reserve.
Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
