Benton "Ben" VanNess Jessup

Ben Jessup,63, passed away at FMC on January 1, 2025 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

 Ben was a Lancaster High School graduate, class of 1980 “Born to Run”, a proud Ohio University bobcat graduating from the College of Business in 1987, and a member of Masonic Temple, Lodge #57, Lancaster, OH. Ben retired from Nationwide Insurance in 2020 and has been enjoying his grandkids in retirement.

 He is survived by father, Robert (Bob) Jessup, Sr; wife, Carrie Laughlin Jessup; children, Lindsay Jessup, Ryan (Tayler) Jessup, Colin (Jackie) Jessup; grandchildren, Alden, Neko, Axton, Briar, and Oliver; sister, Suzanne (Darian) Radabaugh, half-sister, Linda (KC) Jones; niece, Abigail Radabaugh; childhood friend, Daniel Sparks; cat, SB; and an aunt, uncle, numerous cousins, and extended family and friends.

 He was preceded in death by mother, Juliette Ashbrook Jessup; brother, Robert (Skeeter) Jessup; mother-in-law, Sue Osborne; and father-in-law, Jack Laughlin.

 Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hills. A celebration of life will be held in spring.
