Lancaster—Beverly Ann Hietikko, 90, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2026, after a long illness. Beverly was a follower of Christ, and as her grandson Colin described her, “She didn’t just say she believed—she lived like it was real. Every single day.” Beverly lived her faith in Jesus through her roles as wife, mother, and grandmother in our family, and through her profession as a counselor from the Christian perspective. She also loved reading, gardening, and OSU football; in addition, she was skilled at knitting and cross stitch.
She is survived by her children Becky (Craig) Kupferberg, Scott Hietikko, and Chuck (Brenda) Hietikko; grandchildren Nate (Jess) Kupferberg, Ben (Abi) Kupferberg, Colin Hietikko, Aaron Kupferberg, Corbin Hietikko, and Caden Hietikko; and great-grandchildren Wesley Kupferberg, Elliott Kupferberg, and Dempsey Jo Kupferberg. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gertrude (Jack) Behrens, as well as her niece Cindy (Fred) Daugherty and nephew Mark (Nikki) Behrens. In addition, long-time friend and sister-in-Christ Carolyn Huddle will miss Beverly greatly.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, James Hietikko, her brother Jack (Gertrude) Behrens, and her parents Charles and Dorothy Behrens.
A Celebration of Life for Beverly Hietikko will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lancaster, Ohio, on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Calling hours will be held at the church from 10:00-12:00, and the service will follow at 12:00.
