Bonita "Janie" Chapman, beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023, at the Embassy of Winchester. She was born on May 15, 1946, in Pickerington, Ohio to the late Mr. and Mrs. Gibson.

Janie was a remarkable woman who lived her life with an unparalleled zest and passion. She had an infectious personality that brightened every room she entered and a quick wit that left everyone around her smiling. Her unique ability to find joy in every situation was truly inspiring.

After graduating high school, Janie dedicated herself to her family and building a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Her proudest accomplishments were found within the bonds of her family; nothing made her heart sing more than spending quality time with those she held dear.

Janie had an unwavering love for her husband of many years, James "Randy" Chapman. Their love was a shining example of devotion and support, leaving an everlasting impression on all who knew them. Together they nurtured their cherished daughter Danielle Nicole Chapman, who brought immeasurable joy to their lives for fourteen wonderful years.

Family meant everything to Janie, extending beyond her immediate household. She leaves behind her loving children, Amanda Brag, Mandie (Tom) Joyner, and son Chris (Linda) Robinson; sisters, Karen Legg and Kathy (Harry) Benson; brother, Tony (Joyce) Stansberry; nephew, Pastor Scott Gibson; the most cherished friend, Sue Tinstman; and her loving brother in law who was by her side when she passed, Shawn Chapman. She was preceded in death by her deaest of "parents" Ada and Persey Sturgill who raised her to be the wonderful woman she became.

Janie was a familiar face at the Walmart Optical Lab where she worked for many years. Her dedication to her career was admirable, and she approached each day with unwavering commitment and professionalism.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Janie will be remembered for living life to the fullest. She seized every opportunity that came her way, embracing each moment with open arms. Whether it was exploring new places or enjoying simple pleasures such as gardening or cooking delicious meals for loved ones, Janie taught us all the importance of living in the present.

Janie's absence will be deeply felt by all, but her spirit will forever live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known her. She touched countless hearts during her time on this earth and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.

As we bid farewell to our dear Janie, let us remember the incredible woman she was – a shining light who brought happiness wherever she went. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that she will forever reside within our hearts.
