Carl Eugene Rawlins, of Carroll, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on October 5, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on April 24, 1945, in Scioto County, Carl's life exemplified hard work, devotion, and kindness.

Carl dedicated himself to the City of Columbus, where he worked diligently in the water division, contributing his expertise as the head of the back flow division. He also engaged in maintenance at Columbus Steele and Drum.

Family was important to Carl. He is survived by his sons, Brad Rawlins and James (Brandee) Rawlins; his daughter Regina Bell; the mother of his children Judith Rawlins; his four beloved grandchildren, Joshua and Johnathon Rawlins, Silas and Tallulah Bell; and two great-grandchildren, Jentry and Jackson Rawlins. His loyal dog, Buddy, was always by his side through countless adventures. Carl was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Riley and Mary Sharp Rawlins.

Carl held strong religious beliefs and was a devoted follower of God, enjoying fellowship with fellow parishioners at World Harvest Church in its early days, and later at Fairfield Baptist Church.

Carl also held a deep appreciation for cars, particularly MOPAR vehicles. His pride and joy was a 1969 Roadrunner, which he showcased at numerous cruise-ins and gatherings. Evenings spent at the Hebron American Legion enjoying bluegrass music were some of the moments he treasured, with Buddy always there, making memories together.

Arrangements have been made through the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home. A private graveside service will take place at Union Evangelical Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life, where all who knew and loved him can join in honoring his memory.
