Cathy J. Pica, 62 of Lancaster, Ohio died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1967. She was a retail manager for Things Remembered in Lancaster and Columbus, Ohio and also manager for Holiday Inn. She was very active in the local Democratic Party.
Cathy is survived by her sons, Jeff (Nancy) Pica of Minford, Ohio and Aric (Brittany) Schmaltz of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Stephanie ( Shawn Forest) Courtright, Jessica (Scott) Doe, Joseph Courtright, Olivia Pica, Mary Pica, Jeffrey Pica; great grandchildren, Michael Springer, Tyler Forest, Noah Courtright, Alexis Doe, and Makayla Doe; sister, Beverly (J. B.) Wright of Kansas City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Eileen Robinson of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Margaret Robinson, sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Larry Bueger, and brother, Mike Robinson.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Diana Gugel officiating. Caring Cremation to follow. Burial to be in Forest Rose Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
