Charlene A. (Riebe) Rowley

Charlene Rowley, age 86 of Lancaster went to be with her Lord on December 16, 2022 at Arbors of Carroll.  She was born to the late Charles and Catherine Malone Riebe on March 3rd, 1936.

Charlene was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lancaster. She retired as an office manager at the Chamber of Commerce, was a patron of the Humane Society, Friends of the Library, Decorative Arts Center, Fairfield Heritage Association, and many other causes.  She enjoyed entering baked goods, crafts, and quilted items along with her late husband Gary, in the county fair and won numerous ribbons.

She was survived by her nephew Floyd Riebe and many church and neighborhood friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Rowley; parents, Charles and Catherine Riebe; and siblings, Robert, Ralph, and Dorathea Riebe.

Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.  A memorial service will take place on Friday, January 13th, 2023 at 2:30PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church 134 N. Broad St. Lancaster, OH.  She will be joining her husband Gary, by being scattered at the St. John’s Episcopal Scattering garden following the service.
