Charles ‘Butch” P. Miller 75, of Thurston, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Thurston at home on November 28, 1950 to the late Charles Buddy and Wanda Miller.
Butch had been a truck driver for many years and later retired as a tow motor operator for Expeditors with over 20 years of service.
He served during the3 Vietnam Era in the US Army as a paratrooper. Butch loved his church, River Valley Life Center. He was very good doing woodworking and building toys for those less fortunate. He enjoyed spending time tending to his garden when he could.
Butch is survived by his wife of 13 years Linda Miller; bonus daughter Dawn 9Mike) Bishop; grandchildren Kyle (Madeline) Bishop, Samantha (Jon Fimbres) Bishop, Kennedy 9Michael) Miller, Kelsi Bishop and Jackson Bishop; great grandchildren Harper, Mason, Ke’ziah, Francesca, Arionna and one on the way; brother, Paul L. (Melanie) Miller; nephews Shawn, Jason and Kevin and nieces Laura and Heather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert “Rob” A. Miller.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at River Valley Life Center, 2190 Coonpath Rd. NW, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Paster Paul Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Thurston. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, Ohio 43105 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
