Cynthia Ann "Cindy"(Scott) Moore

Cynthia Ann "Cindy" (Scott) Moore, of Lancaster, OH, passed away surrounded by her family on March 5, 2026, at age 64. 

Cindy was born on March 30, 1961, to Jo Ann and Carl Scott, in Lancaster, where she was a lifelong resident. She attended Lancaster and Bloom Carroll High Schools, at which she graduated in 1979. Cindy started her career in cosmetology, but ultimately landed a career in the banking industry, where she served for 44 years. Cindy also proudly served her community as a member of Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, and the Mid-Ohio food bank.

Cindy’s pride and joy in the world was her family. Whether it was vacationing, spending holidays together, having a pool day, watching the Buckeyes, or watching her grandchildren do the things they loved, she was always present and always at her happiest. Cindy enjoyed hiking, gardening, and getting together with her “Card Club Girls.”

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Eric Moore; her children, Joshua Moore (Lindsey), and Jeremy Moore (Nikki); her grandchildren, Maddox, Sadie, and Hope; her sister, Becky Scott, and brother, Rusty Scott (Tami). 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jo Ann and Carl Scott and mother-in-law, Mary Bright.

Family and friends are invited to call at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 3pm-6pm, with a short service to follow. All guests and friends are invited to Cindy and Eric’s home afterwards to share found memories of Cindy. Caring Cremation® has taken place.
