David John Coon

David John Coon, age 40 has gone to glory to be with his Lord and Savior on May 27, 2025.

He was a graduate of Westfall high school. David is a former United States Marine who proudly served 2 tours of duty in the Operation Iraqi Freedom war. He was a member of the Ross George American Legion, Post 9. David enjoyed being outdoors and close to nature.

David is survived by his mom, Jackie Turner; brother Thomas Coon (Brittany); grandmothers Jerry Turner and Doris Coon; uncles Eddie Turner and Joey Turner (Trista); aunts Tara Smith (Dave) and Troy Vinson (Lindsey); many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Darren Coon; grandfathers Larry Turner and Tom Coon.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon. A graveside service will take place Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Wesley Chapel Cemetery 26648 Chapel Ridge Rd. South Bloomingville, OH 43152.
