Diana “Dee” Swingle

Diana “Dee” Swingle, 65, of Lancaster, passed away December 27, 2023 at the Pickering House after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer.

Dee was always smiling and laughing. She loved to sing, dance, and have a great time with friends and family. Dee was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. She was also a great cook. To know her was to love her!

She is survived by her husband, Rodney, sons, Nick Engel, Casey Swingle, and Blake Swingle; granddaughter, Dahlyla Swingle; brothers, Roger Hewitt and Mike Hewitt; sister, Saundra Collins and Teresa (James) Ruff; and many nieces, nephews, and great friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Hewitt; father, Roger Hewitt; and brother, George Hewitt.

The family would like to thank the loving care givers at Martha Morehouse, The James Cancer Center, and the Pickering House.

Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, and a private memorial service will take place at a later date.
