Don L. Milliser, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Pickering House.
Don was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. It was during his time in service that he received the Purple Heart Medal. Don worked for and retired from the Southeastern Corrections Institute in Lancaster, and was also the owner of the Ole Roadhouse Saloon. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and being a member of the Lancaster VFW and 40&8th.
Don is survived by his daughter, Jocy Milliser; step-daughters, Shasta Blankenship and Tasia Abel; grandchildren, Kinleigh Lambert, Letty Lambert, and Zada McKenzie; four step-grandsons; and one step-granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucy Milliser and Joe Azbell; grandparents, Earl and Ruby Iser; brothers, Charles “J.R.” Milliser; and Rick Milliser; mother-and-father-in-law, Ronald and Corabell Marchington; and several aunts, uncles, and loved ones.
A funeral service with military honors will take place at 4 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Family and friends may visit from 2 PM until the time of the service on Saturday. Caring Cremation® to follow the service.
