In Loving Memory of Donna J. Miller

Donna J. Miller of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Donna was born in Lancaster, Ohio, on October 8, 1951, to her loving parents, Russell Miller and Patricia (Cave) Miller, who both preceded Donna in death.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Rod Miller, her two sons, Dusty (Sarah Rahter) Miller, and Chase (Trisha) Miller, three granddaughters, Iris (Trent) VanHook, Peyton Miller and Riley Miller, her two great-grandchildren, Daisy and Ronan VanHook, and by her siblings, Alveda “Bunny” (Paul) Tucker, Michael (Lynn) Miller, Lucy (David) Hinrichs, Ethel Marrs, Nina Bender, and Annie Albertini.

Donna graduated from Lancaster High School in 1969 and shortly after graduating she married the love of her life, Rod Miller, and spent his years of service to the United States Air Force by his side. Donna selflessly dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and friends. She also gave more than two decades of her life to her work at Fairfield Medical Center, where she made several life-long friends. Donna loved showing up for people, she loved mowing her lawn, caring for her flowers and for all living things, including a wild squirrel that she lovingly fed with her granddaughters that they named “Jimmy”.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home at 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130. A funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday. August 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Frank Sullivan at the funeral home. The funeral will be followed by a funeral procession to St. Mary Cemetery, where a blessing will be given graveside.
