Donna Marie Fugate Singer

Donna Marie Fugate Singer, age 77 a resilient spirit born on March 1, 1948, in Bremen, Ohio, gracefully departed this world on November 14, 2025, surrounded by the comforting embrace of her home and the compassionate care of Fairhope Hospice. She left behind a legacy that is woven with threads of love, tenacity, and unwavering dedication.

For 32 years, Donna devoted herself to the nurturing hearts and minds of those at Crestview Manor Nursing Home, where her caring nature shone brightly. A Fairfield Union Graduate from the class of 1966, she embraced life with an indomitable spirit, illustrated by her journey as a two-time survivor of love and illness alike. She weathered the storms of life, having survived two husbands, the battles against breast cancer, and the trials of Parkinson's disease for the last twelve years of her life. Each challenge only deepened her resilience, a testament to her strength and her will to prevail.

Donna was a loving and steadfast mother to her sons, William "Bill" Singer, Terry (Kelly) Singer, and Jason Singer. She cherished the joys of grandmotherhood, leaving behind a treasure trove of wonderful memories with her grandchildren: Kaylee, Terry, Kaiden, James, Holden, Andrew, Hunter, Hayden, and Austin, who brought light and laughter into her life. The warmth of her home was a reflection of her passions; she loved reading and crocheting, and her culinary skills, though modest, were always met with appreciation by her family. She loved planting flowers in the spring.

In addition to her immediate family, Donna's heart was enriched by her dear siblings: Jeanie Fugate, Hanna (Steve) Goss, Agnes "Ace" (Tom) Kitchens, Alberta Fugate, Mary Likens, Susie (Rob) Diddle, James "Jimmy" (Terri) Fugate, and Bobby (Roberta) Fugate. They stood as a testament to her life's journey, sharing in her joys, struggles, and victories.

While Donna's vibrant spirit will continue to resonate through the lives she touched, she is also lovingly remembered for those who departed before her: her husband, William E. Singer; her beloved son, James Andrew Singer; her brother, Porter Fugate; and her parents, James Fugate and Eileen Cox. Their memories remain intertwined with hers, echoing the love that binds a family even beyond the confines of this earthly existence.

The remembrance of Donna's life will be celebrated during the visitation at The Frank E. Smith Funeral Home in Lancaster, Ohio, on Wed. November 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on November 19, beginning at 2:30 PM,  with her final resting place at Grandview Cemetery in Bremen, Ohio, where she will reunite with those she cherished.

In every hug, every shared laugh, and every moment spent together, Donna Marie Fugate Singer will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most. Her legacy of love, strength, and resilience shall be a beacon for her family and friends, guiding them as they celebrate the profound impact she made on their lives.
