Doretta Clark

Doretta Clark, 88, of Lancaster, Ohio went to Heaven at 4:45 am on October 7, 2026.

She was born on January 6, 1938 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Willard and Fanny (Horsley) Cartee.

Doretta loved her faith in God and at one time was a Sunday School teacher and a Sunday School Superintendent at the Kingston Pentecostal Church. She also ran a VA Residential Care home for 22 years. She loved being outside in nature, bird watching, gardening and planting flowers. This was her happy place. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and attending other churches around the area. She also enjoyed journaling. She was a loving mother and devoted wife.

She will be greatly missed.

Daretta is survived by her children Marla Rigsby, Robin (Eddie) Bacus, and Robert (Jeff) Johnson; grandchildren Randy (Beth) Rigsby, Heather (Jason) Foreman, Christa (Troy) Gloyd, Amy Shoults, and Jacob Bacus; many great and great great grandchildren; brothers Jim (Kathy) Cartee, Carl (Linda) Cartee, Dave (Kathleen) Cartee; sister-in-law Juanita Cartee; and any nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Duane Clark; parents; son-in-law Randy Rigsby; and brother Gilbert Cartee.
