Duane J. Woltz

Jul 28, 1961 — Sep 6, 2026

Baltimore

Duane James Woltz, 65, of Baltimore, passed away at Adena-Fairfield Medical Center on Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was the youngest son of Harold and Becky Woltz, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Forest Rose School in 1981. He attended Fairfield Industries and Learning Never Ends in Lancaster. He moved to Heartland Fairfield’s “Little House” in 1985 and then to REM Ohio Group Home at Bickel in 1998. He had the mind of a child in a man's body. He loved music- playing records, tapes, and CDs. He had so many favorite movies and TV shows, including The Dukes of Hazzard and Happy Days. He liked The Ohio State Buckeyes, Nascar, and Baby Yoda. He enjoyed the holidays with the family, gifts, and food that he loved. This handsome, blue-eyed boy loved life and all the people he met.

He is survived by his sisters, Marcia Brown of Lancaster and Karen Woltz of Baltimore; brother, Greg (Shirley) Woltz of Lancaster; nieces, Teresa Fuller and family, Jennifer Wildermuth and family, both of Lancaster; and his nephew, Jeff Woltz and family of Cincinnati. He had many more family members from LNE and REM Ohio who loved and cared for him on a daily basis, providing him with all his needs and wants. He never met a stranger and never forgot a name. Over the years, he touched many people, and they are all very appreciative of their love and care for Duane. Special thanks to Joy, Val, Kim, Amy H., Wanda, and all past and present staff of Bickel and Musser for their love and support of Duane’s special journey.
