E. Ruth Davis

E. Ruth Davis, 102, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011, at Primrose Retirement Community.

Ruth was born Tuesday, November 24, 1908, in Hocking County to the late Jasper and Cora Creiglow. Ruth was a member of Calvary Orthodox Lutheran Church.

Ruth is survived by her nephew, C. William (Jo Ann) Creiglow of Lancaster; niece, Norma J. Boyer of Lancaster; cousin, Don (Shirley Hormel) Creiglow of Michigan; eight great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry O. Davis and three brothers, Roy Creiglow, Harold Creiglow, and Wilbur Creiglow.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Pastor Roger L. Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit from 12:30-1:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to Calvary Orthodox Lutheran Church or FairHoPe Hospice.
