Edward dedicated his career to Diamond Power, where he worked tirelessly on various machines. His commitment and expertise were highly regarded by his colleagues and clients alike. Edward's diligence and passion in his work created a lasting legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Edward took great pride in his military service. As a member of the Airforce, he held a high military classification clearance and provided invaluable assistance to bombers during flight runs. His unwavering dedication to serving his country was a true testament to his character.
In addition to his work and military service, Edward had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life. He had an enduring love for trains and all things related to the military. The Peanuts comic strip featuring Charlie Brown held a special place in his heart, showcasing his fondness for the humor it brought into his life. Edward was captivated by history, with a particular affinity for the Civil War.
Maintaining an active lifestyle was important to Edward. He found solace in engaging in various physical activities such as running, working out, playing basketball, tennis, and dancing at the Eagles. One of Edward's proudest accomplishments was teaching his son Jason how to shoot pool at the American Legion where he also held membership.
Edward's faith played a crucial role in shaping his character, guiding him through life's challenges with unwavering strength. He regularly held church services with friends and family each Sunday, sharing scripture readings that uplifted their spirits. His devotion and the support he drew from his faith were a source of comfort to all who knew him.
Edward's family and friends were his greatest treasures. He leaves behind a loving daughter, Heather R. Skebo, son, Jason B. Manbevers and daughter, Holly K. Helms. Edward was also blessed with four cherished grandchildren: Emma Skebo, Lilith Lamb, Ashe Helms, and Dasch Helms, and sister Donna Hickey. They will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
