E. Keith Rutherford

E. Keith Rutherford, age 79 of Rushville, died at his residence on  Aug. 17, 2021.  He was born to the late William and Mildred Steed Rutherford on June 30, 1942 in Martins Ferry.  He was a truck driver for A and S Kinard and was a member of Oakthorpe Church.  He enjoyed playing solitaire, was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn A. Rutherford; children, Christine (Ray) Rutherford McMullen; Ewing Keith (Samatha) Rutherford II, and Chantel Eveland; grandchildren, Mitchell Matthews, Lilly and Dwight Eveland; siblings, Richard (Patricia) Rutherford; several nieces and nephews; and close friend and co-worker, Frankie.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 step brothers, John and Gerald Ullom.

Caring Cremation has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.  A memorial service will take place at Oakthorpe Church at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
