Elmer "Gene" Green

Elmer “Gene” Green, age 78, of Thornville, OH passed away at Fairfield Medical Center on Thursday, December, 23rd, 2010. He was born to his parents, Pearl and Lillith Green on November 23rd, 1932. He was raised in Basil, OH and was always the jokester. He loved his Judge Milian, was an avid NASCAR fan, and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alice M. Green of Thornville; daughters, Melissa (George) Cenky of Thornville; Marcie (Skip) Williams of Columbus; sons, Larry (Paula) Hopper of Pataskala, Chuck (Kathy) Hopper of Newark; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Landis of Baltimore; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, “Dusty” and “Pepper”.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melody Vogel; his parents Pearl and Lillith Green; and brothers, Charles Green and Ralph Green.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been made through the JOHNSON-SMITH Funeral Home. Elmer “Gene” Green has donated his body to OSU Medical Center School of Biomedical Science to further education.
