Eric "Rick" E. Jayjohn

Eric “Rick” E. Jayjohn 65 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Arthur James Cancer Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on June 1, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Raymond E. and Marlene Jayjohn.

Eric was retired from Alltek and was a very active member of the Central Baptist Church in Columbus. He was an active member of the Lithopolis Masonic Lodge #169 F & AM along with being a member of the Groveport Masonic Lodge #240 F & AM. Eric belonged to the Palomino Horse Breeders Association, an avid collector and loved his OSU Buckeyes.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynda; children, Vonda (Jason) Osborne of Lancaster, Eric R. Jayjohn of Vermillion and Elizabeth (John) Wadkins of Richmond Hill, Georgia; grandchildren, Hunter, Jeremiah, Adleigh, Lauren, Randall, Thomas, Jackson and Levi; sister, Sharon Stevens of West Palm Beach, Florida; nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime special friends, Dan Zeimer and Al Cornell.

Eric was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Marlene and Bob Hoover, father, Raymond Jayjohn a special father-in-law, Randall DeBoard and a brother, Josie Jayjohn.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1955 Frank Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43223 with Pastor Tim Womack officiating. Burial will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday with the Lithopolis Masonic Lodge #169 F & AM conducting a memorial service at 11:45 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, LANCASTER, OHIO.
