Evelyn “Chickie” Rice

Evelyn “Chickie” Rice, 92, of Pickerington, passed away on May 17, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1933, to the late Alsetta Fay Unseld and John Schlotterbeck.

Chickie was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Dick) Noble, grandchildren, Alexandria (Carl) Whims, Anna Godorhazy, Zachary (Adri Qi) Rice, and Max Rice III, and great- grandchildren, Autumn Whims, Elliot Whims, and Harper Rice.

She was preceded in death by her son, Max Rice Jr., and her husband, Max Rice Sr. of 71 years.

Chickie loved her family dearly and found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, OH 43105. A graveside service will be at 1:30 PM Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Violet Cemetery, Pickerington OH.
