Fred M. Demmler

Fred M. Demmler passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026. He was 83 years old.

Born on July 26, 1942, to the late Edward Demmler and Martha Van Fossen, Fred attended Marion Franklin High School Class of 1960. He was a celebrated dragster racing champion, enjoyed taking rides in bi-planes and loved sailing.

Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Demmler, who passed away on August 7, 1999, and by his brother, Edward Demmler.

He is survived by his three children Kellie Demmler, Lillian Telcontar, and John Demmler and his ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Fred also leaves behind his longtime companion and dear friend, Mary Turner, who shared in his life and happiness for many years.

Visiting hours will be held at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home at 207 S. Main Street, Baltimore, Ohio on the morning of Monday, May 4, at 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
