Fred Kenneth Head 91 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at this residence.
He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Air Force and a retired ramp lead for Trans World Airlines with 35 years of service after he retired, he then worked for the Baltimore IGA with over 20 plus years of service. He was a member of Baltimore VFW Post 3761, enjoyed wood working, and outdoor activities.
If you knew him, you loved him because he made a stranger feel like they were friends forever. People made Fred happy no matter the age, race, or religion... just people. He always went out of his way to help others.
Fred is survived by his son, Kenneth Head of Reynoldsburg; daughters, Karen (Jay Wiseman) Chamberlain of Baltimore and KristiAnna (Dale May) Gowl of Pataskala; grandchildren, Jillian (David Bragg) Head, Kandace (Jesse) Hayes, Krysta Chamberlain, Kaitlinn Chamberlain, and Kristopher Mattingly; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Lacy, Brooklynne, Benjamin, and Konnor; sisters, June Lewis of West Virginia, Ruby Moran of Tennessee, Lorraine Crouse of West Virginia, Lula Mae Dobbins of Ohio, and Linda Collis of West Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Malinda Head, brother, Robert Head, sisters, Catherine Johnson, Bonnie Dalton and Joyce Adkins.
Funeral service will held Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105. Friends may visit Tuesday from 5-8 p. m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio at a later date.
