Frederick "Freddie" Hannan

Frederick “Freddie” Hannan, 87, of Pleasantville, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center.

Freddie was a loving husband, father, and Papa. He was employed with Owens Corning for 37 years. He enjoyed 19 years as a 4-H advisor. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing and trips to Canada with family and friends.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan Hannan; daughters, Peggy (Jeff) Hutchison of Baltimore and Melonie (Terry) Furnish of Middletown, Indiana; grandchildren, Jill (Joe) Erb and Lance (Tina) Hutchison; great grandchildren, Lindsey and Landon Hutchison, Amanda (Brent) Erb, and Sarah Jo (fiancé, Justin Hershberger) Erb; sister, Dottie (Harold) Douglas of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews; and best buddies, JayJay and Jodi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lou and Linda Hannan; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore with Reverend Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
