Gale L. Barry

Gale Lewis Barry, 96, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at his residence in Reflections Retirement Community.

Gale was the owner of Glass Service Co. Inc. for 40 years. He served in the Navy, post WWII. Gale was always busy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and involved in different organizations including Kiwanis, Masonic Temple, Aladdin Shiners, Jay Cee’s of Lancaster, Charity Newsies, Lancaster Country Club, and he made deliveries for Meals on Wheels for 30 years. Gale enjoyed bowling and later, golfing and the many golf outings with his friends.

Gale is survived by his son Gregory.

He is preceded in death by his wife Pauline and first son Fredrick.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, Ohio 43130, with Chaplin Mark Linn officiating. Family and friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service. Caring Cremation® has taken place.
