Gary W. Vance, Sr.

Gary W. Vance, Sr. 81 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Pickering House.   He was born on December 29, 1940 in Guernsey, County, Ohio to the late Wade an Goldie Taylor.

He was a retired warehouse manager for Heidelberg Distribution.

Gary is survived by his children, Cindy (John) Reef, Jr. of Lancaster, Ohio, Gary (Penny) Vance, Jr. of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Jeff (Maria) Vance of Lansing, Michigan, Dennis (Tracie) Vance of North Carolina and Mark (Erica Duke) Vance of Carroll, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy Jo (T.J.) DeVault, Katelyn (Ricky Lyman) Reef, Gary (Jessica) Vance, III, David (Ashley) Vance, Ridge (Kristen) Vance, Aaron (Abby) Vance, James (Julia) Vance, Cara (Casey Clifton) Vance and Megan (Brian) Correllus; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Bryanne, Emma, Colten, Raegan, Madison, Kaiden, Urijah, Zoey, Brady, Michaela, Madison, Xavier, Cooper, Kiera, Gracyn, Harper, Adelade, and Zane; sisters, Sara Bluestone of Silver Spring, Maryland and Maragret Roush of Florida; sister-in-law, Jonelle Vance of Warren, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Winifred M. Vance, parents, brothers, David, Ralph and John Vance.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, July 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST. BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Rev. Dr. Jack Davidson officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
