Helena Scarberry

Helena Mildred Scarberry, 90, of Baltimore, Ohio, born August 18, 1920, in Lincoln County, West Virginia, died Sunday November 21, 2010, at Fairfield Medical Center following a brief illness.

Helena enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church. She retired from National City Bank in Lancaster after over 20 years of service.

Helena is survived by her daughter, Joan Miller of Millersport; two sons, Roger (Kathy) Scarberry of Baltimore and Robert (Debbie) Scarberry of Lancaster; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and good friend, Noel Lehman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Scarberry; son-in-law, Nelson E. Miller; her mother; and brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore, with Reverend Branson Hawkes officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Caring Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore.
