James Keith Griffith, 74, died peacefully on February 27, 2024.
Jim was born in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Wayne and Dorothy Griffith. He served in the USAF during the Vietnam War and retired from his shipping supervisor position at Anchor Hocking after 40 years.
Jim was a devoted husband for 42 years. He was a kind, loving, and very involved father. His grandchildren never failed to bring a smile to his face and joy to his heart. He was their Silly Papa. He treasured his time with his siblings. He was generous and funny and loyal to his family and friends. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy and a massive hole in our hearts.
Jim is survived by his wife Nancy; his children Scott (Jolene) Griffith, and Jenny (Andy) Napier; his grandchildren Owen and Lily Griffith, and Emma Napier; his sister Margaret Vilagi; his brother Allen (Becky) Griffith; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Michael; and brother-in-law Ed Vilagi.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 10:30 AM in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Lancaster, Ohio, with Father Nicholas Droll as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, Ohio, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
