Jan A. Tinnermann

Jan A. Tinnermann 71 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Fairfield Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on August 15, 1951 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Kathryn Combs.

She started her teaching career in 1973.  She taught elementary and at the secondary levels.  Jan retired as a school counselor from Reynoldsburg City Schools with 34 years of service. She received the Dwight Arnold Award for being a school counselor of the year in 2003.

Jan was a member of O.E.A., enjoyed windsurfing, boating at Apple Valley, Ohio and loved the beach and the outer banks. She had a God given desire to volunteer and help people. Jan also was a member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 Auxiliary and Baltimore Loyal Order of Moose.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years (June 23, 1973) Donald Tinnermann; son, Anthony Tinnermann of Millersport; daughter, Lisa (Shawn) Williamson of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Connor, Landon, Weston, Allyson and Ghent; great-grandchildren, Landon and Laney; brother, Rick (Leonna) Timblin of Guysville; sister, Keely (Greg) Reis of Thornville; sister-in-law, Jill Timblin of Columbus; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Sam Timblin and sisters, Holly Varner and Ghentifer Combs.

Caring Cremation® has taken place by the JOHNONS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, BALTIMORE, OHIO.  A private graveside will be held by the family.
