Jane Totten Paumier, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on September 24, 2026. Jane was born on November 5, 1926, in Canton, Ohio, the cherished daughter of Albert and Edith Totten.

Jane was a proud graduate of Canton McKinley High School, and with a heart full of service, she entered WWII Nurse Cadet training in 1944. After graduation, she visited Roswell, New Mexico, where she met and married the love of her life, Bernard Paumier, on April 30, 1949. Together, they shared more than 77 years of marriage, building a beautiful family and creating countless memories filled with laughter and love. Jane was a member of the Baltimore VFW Auxiliary and Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Her faith guided her throughout her life, and she was known for her kindness, humility, and unwavering support for those in need.

Jane was a devoted mother to her surviving children, Daniel and Thomas Paumier, and Catherine (Frank) Domanski. She was a nurturing grandmother to Katrina, Ladonna, Alicia, Joseph, Tim, Matt, Barbie, and Becky, as well as a great-grandmother to eight cherished great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Sonny, and her beloved children, Joseph, Michael, and Susanne.

In honor of Jane’s memory, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends and family may visit at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Baltimore on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, and one hour prior to Mass. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 5133 Walnut Road, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008, with a meal following the Mass at Baltimore VFW Post 3761 on State Route 256. Jane will be laid to rest on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at noon at St. Genevieve Catholic Cemetery in Calmoutier, Ohio; all are welcome.
