Janet Getz

Janet Joan Getz, 86 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center.

In her career she was a telephone operator for the City of Lancaster, work at Starlight Bowling Alley and later to became a homemaker. She loved bird watching and her cats.

Janet is survived by her son, Jay N. Sherburn of Lancaster, Ohio; daughter, Joy N. Reis of North Carolina; granddaughter, Maggie F. Reis; great grandchildren, Jose, Lois and Serenity; step-children, step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Getz, parents, Wesley and Maggie Stiverson, brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Caring Cremation® will follow. Friends may visit 2 hours prior the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
