Jean Hope Bradford, of Lancaster, passed away on May 12 after a prolonged illness.
She is survived by her son, James (Valeri); grandchildren Amy, Chris, Nick, Caleb & Christian, sister Judy, and daughter-in-law Vickie as well as numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jake & Martha; son Clarence; siblings John, Richard, Ronald & Sally - as well as her beloved husband of 65 years, Howard (Blondie).
She was proud to have spent a lifetime in business with her loved ones (Mount Pleasant Builders as well as S&B Associates), particularly with her husband and sons. Jean was fortunate to have traveled the world with Howard, loved to play cards, water ski, and ballroom dance. She will be remembered for her sharp wit and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, May 15, at 10:30 AM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N Columbus St. Lancaster. A private burial will occur at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM on Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home. A gathering for friends and family will be held at the Lancaster Masonic Lodge after the memorial, from 1-4PM May 15.
As Jean & Howard were longtime supporters of Lancaster Athletics, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to the Lancaster Track & Cross-Country Parent Organization, 5675 Basil Western Rd NW, Carroll, OH 43112.
