It is with both deep sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Jerrie Louise Bigelow, age 65, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who entered the kingdom of heaven on June 16, 2025.
Born on July 22, 1959, in Lancaster, OH, to the late Elmer Lee and Lucille Gail (Scott) Jeffers. Jerrie enjoyed acting, studying accounting and French during her school years before she graduated from Waterford Kettering High in Waterford, MI.
Shortly after, she began her career at General Motors in Pontiac, MI before retiring on disability several years later. Jerrie loved listening to music, especially by her favorite artists like Bob Segar and Rod Stewert. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and designed a women’s blouse she called “Mood Garment” and patented in the 1980s.
She leaves behind a family forever changed by her love: her two children, Michael Ladouceur and Angila (Shane) Witcher. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Damien O’Camb (19), Remington Evans (15), Jackson Witcher (15), Sadie Ladouceur (9) Charlotte Witcher (8) and Connor Ladouceur (8).
As a sister to six beloved siblings, Jerrie shared a beautiful bond of memories and laughter that spanned a lifetime. Jerrie was preceded in death by her late brother, Terry and sweet sister, Kitty. She is also survived by her dear sisters Kim, Karen, Pam and Kelly.
Jerrie is treasured by countless family and friends and many others who were blessed to know her.
The family is sincerely grateful to all the staff at Arbors at Carroll. Their long-term care and love for Jerrie is truly a gift.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerrie's memory to Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance at sczaction.org/donate
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory with stories, love, and gratitude.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that her love remains with us—in every sunrise, every gentle breeze, and every act of humor we pass on in her name.
Rest well, dear Jerrie. You are loved beyond measure and missed beyond words.
Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO.
