Jo Ann Hite

Jo Ann Hite, 90, of Thurston, passed away on September 25, 2024. She was born to the late Alfred and Lavaughne England on June 13, 1934. 

Jo Ann served her community by being on the city council of Thurston for over 14 years, and also service as the mayor of Thurston from 1997-2003.

She is survived by her sister, Carol (Richard) Markwood; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hite; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hite; sons, Doug and Jeffrey Hite, and parents.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 1 PM in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jill Dunlap.

Jo Ann’s family would like to thank the staff of Lanfair for their kindness and care.
