Josh Blauser

Josh Blauser, 37, of Baltimore, died as the result of a motorcycle accident on Saturday, July 2, 2011.

Josh was a 1992 graduate of Bloom Carroll High School. After graduation he served 4 years in the United States Navy. Josh served as a volunteer lieutenant with the Basil Joint Fire District. Josh was an extraordinary example of working hard and playing hard. He worked for TP Mechanical, overseeing large commercial plumbing projects. Josh was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and motorcycles. His large circle of friends, including best friend Chris Cordray, often gathered for cook-outs, dove hunts, deer drives and four-wheeling camping trips. Above all, Josh loved his boys, Cannon (11) and Colton (8). He coached all their sport teams and taught them everything he knew about hunting, four wheeling, tools and how to build and fix anything. He taught them well and he always encouraged his boys to excel.

Josh is survived by his parents, Jim and Ruth Blauser and Donna Blauser; sons, Cannon and Colton Blauser; girlfriend, Shay Fodor; former wife, Allison Blauser; grandparents, Jim and Barbara Betts; sister, Anne (Jason) Brengman; brother, David (Kellee) Blauser; step sister, Jeannette Curtis; niece, Addie Blauser; nephews, Jacob Blauser, Jackson and Zane Brengman, and Colin Smith; and aunts, Susie (Mike) Keller and Bonnie (Dave) Grimm.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Otto Blauser.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio, with Pastor Chris Solwecki officiating. Caring Cremation will follow. Friends may visit from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Josh to the Basil Joint Fire District. 410 Washington St, Baltimore, OH 43105.
