June Wooster 87 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Pickering House.

She was born on September 23, 1937 in Whistler, Ohio to the late Ernest and Edith Francis.

June’s career started off as a secretary to the Assistant Dean to the Department of Agriculture at The Ohio State University then became a supervisor at Shreyer Egg Farm in Baltimore. She later worked for Heartland-Fairfield Nursing Center and then retired from Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

June was a longtime member of St. Michael’s United Church of Christ and Farm Bureau Council #1. She was a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, a member of the Ohio Conservation League and the Cerebral Palsy Association. June was a big Red’s Fan.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. June is survived by her husband of 68 years, Hans Wooster; daughters, Connie (David) Miller of Millersport, Carol Schmitt and Deanna Miller both of Baltimore; grandchildren, Daniel (Jaime) Shirey, Jon (Mindy) Miller, Craig Shirey, Lynda (Josh) Whetstone, Andrea (Nathan) Howdyshell, Alisha (Brandon) Hawkins, Derek (Emily) Schmitt, Austin (Alexis) Miller and Jacob Miller; twenty great grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Rita) Francis and John Francis all of Amanda; sisters, Ann (Stan) Huggins of Laurelville, Jill McFarland of Amanda and Susan Elder of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Nancy Millwater of Pickerington and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Warren, Bob and Jack Francis and a sister, Kay Tyrolf.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s United Church of Christ with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at St. Maichael’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, Ohio 43105 and 1hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
