Kathleen “Kathy” Dennison, 73, of Lancaster, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 18, 2026. She was born November 24, 1952 to Dorothy L. and Carl H. Wise.
Kathy’s employment history included work at the Advertiser and the Kirk Reed Insurance Agency. She is best known for her work with Fairfield County Developmental Disabilities as a job developer and coach. She held this position for 17 years and was a true champion for this community of people. Kathy had a special talent for helping others shine. She supplemented this line of work by developing the Mark Everly Classic adult bowling league for developmentally disabled individuals.
Her interests included bowling, planting flowers (even weeding!), fishing, collecting teapots, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents Kathy is preceded in death by her son, Brian Brumbaugh; brothers, William and Andrew Wise; and father-in-law, William Dennison.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Carl Dennison; sisters, Martha “Myrt” Wise and Amy (Mike) Scaqlione; niece, Kristen Scaqlione; nephews, Anthony Scaglione and Billy, Nathan, and Adam Wise; step-sons, Wm Carl Dennison, Ted (Bev) Dennison, and Kenny (Dani) Dennison; and mother-in-law, Ethel Dennison.
Other family members include Leonard (Cathleen) Dennison, Margaret Elick, Debbie (Jim) Elick, Russ (Betty) Dennison, and Greg (Donna) Dennison.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Garrett, Ethan, Aesa, Hailee, Hanah, Rebecca, Brayden, Brennon, and Reine; four great grandchildren; and many beloved friends including special fiend Diane King.
Friends and family may call at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130 on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 4-7 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7 PM officiated by Pastor Josh Dexter.
