Kathyrn J. Wagner

Kathyrn J. Wagner, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on December 11, 2025. She was born in Jackson, OH to the late Spencer and Dessa Leonard.

Kathyrn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend. She was a selfless, caring, and gentle soul who loved her family and friends immensely and was loved by her family and friends tremendously. She was a long-time member of the 6th Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, traveling, watching classic movies, and helping others. She was also quite the animal lover who loved her dogs and grand-dogs and they adored her right back just like the rest of us.

She is survived by her son, Richard Wagner Jr.; daughter, Dessa (Bob) Hebert; grandchildren, Camden and Maxwell; and siblings, Voris Leonard and Betty (Lowell) Marks; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wagner Sr.; sister, Lois Forshey; and parents.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 12 PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.
