Kelvyn L. Moyer, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Lancaster, Ohio, surrounded by his beloved family.
He was born on September 29, 1945, in Lancaster, to the late Clarence and Ethel (Walker) Moyer. Kelvyn's life was marked by a profound commitment to family, faith, and community.
Kelvyn excelled in his role as a family man. To his wife of 35 years, Sherry, he was the best husband one could hope for, demonstrating daily the meaning of partnership and love. He proved himself to be a dedicated father, grandfather, and great grandfather. The love he shared with his family is a testament to his character, a bond that will forever resonate through their lives.
As a faithful servant of God, Kelvyn's spiritual life was very important to him. He served as a chairman of the Millersport Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school for 17 years, imparting wisdom and Christian values to others, nurturing their faith.
Kelvyn earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio University, laying the foundation for a career devoted to public service. His professionalism and work ethic resonated throughout his tenure as an Administrator for the State of Ohio for over 28 years. Kelvyn also served on the zoning commission for Pleasant Township. His fondness for Fairfield County, and its county fair, reflected his deep-rooted connection to the community he loved.
Kelvyn was a proud member of the American Legion 0637 Millersport, reflecting his devotion to his country as a veteran of the Army.
Kelvyn is survived by his wife Sherry A. (Horcher) Moyer; daughters Dodi (Paul McKissick) Brinkman and Ami (Taylor) Boch; grandchildren Whittney (Caleb) Priest, Ryli (Tyler) Ball, Carley (Tanner) Harlow, Casey Boch, and Jessa Boch; great grandchildren Pearl, Burke, and Beau; and special dog Ashes.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Tim Boch.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Kelvyn's life on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Millersport Methodist Church, 2310 Refugee St, Millersport, OH 43046 at 6:00 PM.
