Kenneth E. Smith

Kenneth E. Smith, age 92, of Lancaster, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on July 25, 1929, in Scioto County, Ohio.

Kenneth was a member of Faith Memorial Church.  He was also a retired carpenter where he was a member of Carpenters Local #200.  His skills as a carpenter enabled him to build many of the homes his family lived in.  He was also generous with his time and talents serving others.

Kenneth’s love of flowers and gardening gave him great pleasure.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Kathleen; sons, Steve Smith of Columbus, Ohio and Daryl (Linda) Smith of Pleasantville, Ohio; daughters, Davida (Roger) Thatcher of Pickerington, Ohio and Mary Ann (Phil) Gastaldo of Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandsons, Andy (Lizzy) Smith, Matt (Nikki) Smith, Daniel (Jodi) Gastaldo, Jonathan (Katie) Gastaldo, Michael (Crystal) Staley, David (Sara) Staley; sixteen great grandchildren, Camryn & Zachary Smith, Gavin, Adley & Bryson Smith

Benjamin, Noah & Lily Gastaldo, Zayde, Sofia & Vincent Gastaldo, Layne & Allison Staley, Isaac Singratsomboune Yee, Lydia & Emma Staley; brother, Robert Smith and sisters, Pat Bradley and Shelby Hagans.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Maggie Gastaldo.

Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
