Leanna S. (Morosco) Barnes

Leanna S. (Morosco) Barnes, born on May 28, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the Springs at Wyandot Trail in Lancaster, Ohio. She was a beloved member of her family and community, known for her vibrant spirit and nurturing heart.

Leanna was a proud graduate of Bishop Rosecrans High School in Zanesville, Ohio. Throughout her life, she cultivated a passion for the arts and crafts. She found joy in quilting, sewing, cooking, and various crafting projects, sharing her talents freely with those around her. Her dedication extended to being an active member of the Lancaster Rose Club and enjoying the grace of ballroom dancing.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert C. Barnes, and their daughter, Misty Barnes. Leanna also leaves behind her step-daughters, Lecia (Denny) Stark of Bolivar, Ohio, and Deena (Bob) Seaton of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, as well as her step-son, Brent (Kim) Barnes of Grove City, Ohio. Leanna cherished her family dearly, including her brother, Richard S. (Kathy) Morosco of Plain City, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Helen Morosco, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.

A visitation will be held on September 20, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM, at The Frank E. Smith Funeral Home located at 405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dan Crawford officiating. Leanna will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster, Ohio, following the service.

Memorial gifts may be given to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 in her memory. 

Leanna S. Barnes will be remembered for her creativity, kindness, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.
