Lou Ann Travis

Lou Ann Travis, age 90, of Granville, Ohio passed away on May 31st, 2026. Lou Ann was born to the late Howard and Florence (Norris) Tangeman on December 5th, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky. Lou Ann was a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in education. After college, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert, and was happily married for 63 years.

Lou Ann was a vibrant social presence and a dedicated supporter of the arts in every city she resided. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She joyfully served as a Sunday school teacher, and actively participated in bible studies. Deeply committed to the empowerment and education of women, she was a proud 50 year member of the P.E.O. sisterhood. Above all else Lou Ann cherished her family and friends.

Lou Ann is survived by her two daughters Lori (David) Kutney and Shelly (Edgar) Bolgzds; two grandchildren Robert and Kylie; and brother Norris (Janis) Tangeman.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert; son-in-law Michael Kolthoff; her parents; and brother Ralph Tangeman and sister-in-law Janet Tangeman.

Caring Cremation® has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date and time in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky, where Lou Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband.
