Marion (Kilbourn) Farnsworth

Marion (Kilbourn) Farnsworth, 99, of Lancaster, OH and formerly of Flat Rock, MI passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father on March 9 at Crestview Nursing Home at 1:00 PM.

Marion was born on October 28, 1922 in Pontiac, MI to the late Prudence, and Albert Kilbourn. She graduated from Flushing High School in 1940.

Marion had her daughter Prudence in November of 1944. She married Ralph Farnsworth on October 15, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1977.

In 1976 she and Ralph moved to the United Methodist Campground in Lancaster, OH where she was on the board of directors and numerous committees, and where she was a member of the Hill Top Women’s group.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Prudence (Carl) Dorsch; grandchildren, Rebecca (Dennis) Ostrowski, Elizabeth Wright, and Mark Dorsch Sr.; great grandchildren, Staff Sargent Philip (Jennifer) Salisbury, Kevin (Desi) Wright, Brandon (Kelsey) Wright, Mark Dorsch Jr., Matthew Ostrowski, Carol Ostrowski, and Ryan Wright; great great grandchildren, Phoebe Salisbury, Jackson Dorsch, Remi Wright, Layney Wright, and Baby Wright due July, 2022; and her loving Ohio family, Sharon (Kay) Rager, Bob Smith, and Kay’s children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Farnsworth; and brothers, Morley and Wilmer Kilbourn.

A funeral service will take place at 4 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Family and friends may visit from 2 PM until the time of services on Sunday. Caring Cremation to follow.
