Mark Vance

Mark Vance, 55 of Carroll passed away at home Thursday December 4, 2025 after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Mark was a 1989 graduate of Bloom Carroll. He went on to work for Heidelberg Distributing as a salesman for over 30 years. He met many great people along the way that turned into lifelong friends. He always had a smile for all the accounts he serviced.

Mark loved the beach, and spent many hours looking for sharks teeth. He loved to watch all sports, and enjoyed taking Mason and Nate to watch the Bengals and Dodgers play. His favorite time of year was the first week of March Madness. He spent the past 25 plus years traveling around the states with his Basketball Brothers watching the games, eating good food, and having a great time. Mark also enjoyed spending time golfing and playing poker with his Poker-Golf Buddies.

Mark leaves behind his best friend and the love of his life Erica Duke and “The Boys” Mason and Nathan. In laws Bill (Pauline) Beck, Sister Cindy (John) Reef, Brothers Gary (Penny) Vance, Jeff (Maria) Vance, Dennis (Tracie) Vance, Sister in law Jada (Scott) Vaudrin, Brother in law Jeremy (Stephanie) Duke. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Special friends his “Basketball Brothers“, his “Poker-Golf Buddies” and “Tim in Cincinnati“.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents Gary and Winifred Vance, and Mother in law Lillis Beck.

A special thank you to Amy from Zusman Hospice. She was truly a blessing.

There is a little less laughter in the world since Mark left. He will forever be missed by those who knew and loved him.
