Marsha E. Kern 52 of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her residence. She was a graduate of New Albany High School Class of 1977 and a seamstress.
She is survived by her sons, Brandon M. Kern, John S. Kern, Dane M. Kern, and Ross C. Kern all of Lancaster, Ohio; parents, John and Betty Sanford of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Mike Sanford of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Rhonda (Rick) Knisley of Lancaster, Ohio; aunt and uncle, Sue and Carl Miller of Mt Vernon, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Kern, brother, Tracy L. Sanford, and grandparents, Herman and Virginia Sanford.
A memorial service will be held Friday September 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Wayne Combs officiating. Caring has taken place. Entombment will be held at a later date. Family and friends may gather 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
