Mary Margaret Chilcote

Mary Margaret Chilcote, 92, of Lancaster, OH, passed away on October 26, 2026. She was born to the late Lawrence and Margaret Noland on March 14, 1934.

Mary was a long-time member of the Sixth Avenue Methodist Church. She worked at Anchor Hocking for over 35 years and walked to work every day.

She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Robert) Lanning; grandchildren, Mindy (Kevin) Schmidt, Marsha (Tim) Palmer and Trevor Chilcote; great granddaughter, Kara Palmer; siblings, Frank Noland, Lawrence “Larry” Noland Jr. and Shirley Rader; friend, Alice King; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Chilcote; son, William Chilcote; siblings, Jesse Noland, William Noland, Alice Murphy, David Noland, Henry Noland, Catherine Johnson and Gloria Coleman; and her parents.

A funeral service officiated by pastor Dan Crawford will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 12 PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
