Mary L. Dupler, born on August 20, 1930, in Carroll, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her residence in Millersport on September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old.

Mary was a woman of remarkable spirit and warmth, whose laughter was infectious and whose zest for life was apparent to everyone around her. Known lovingly for her sweet nature and her love of humor, she particularly enjoyed sharing dad jokes that would leave those she encountered in fits of laughter. Her fun-loving personality shone brightly, especially during joyous moments spent performing in the Minstrill and Community Theatre. Mary was not only a terrific singer and performer but also someone who relished being in the spotlight, captivating audiences with her passion and energy. She was also a member of St. Michael's UCC, where she greatly enjoyed singing and fellowship.

Her career spanned many years as a dedicated secretary, where she managed businesses including the truck stop, the Baltimore Paper Mill, and Buckeye Union Insurance.Despite her great professional accomplishments, it was her family that remained her proudest achievement. Mary’s love for her children and grandchildren was the cornerstone of her life, and she embraced every moment of motherhood and grandparenthood with an open heart.

Mary graduated from Liberty Union in 1948, demonstrating an early dedication to education, even taking French classes. Her strong ties to community and family were hallmarks of her character, a trait that extended to her love of the Cincinnati Reds—a true testament to her passionate spirit.

Mary is survived by her cherished children, Jeffrey W. (Mary) Dupler, Jimmy (Diane) Dupler, Roxanne (Bruce) Crocco, Wende Dupler, and Beckie Diley; along with her beloved grandchildren, Katie Anthony and Liza Crocco, Tristan (Jessica) Dupler, Kendra (Derek) Sullivan, Nathan (Amber) Dupler, Blake (Katie) Dupler, Bon (Rachel) Diley, Krista Diley, Kyla Diley, and Jamie Rightly; and nine great-grandchildren who filled her life with joy. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Marie Spiegel, brother, David (Polly) Stilwell, and sister-in-law Norma Stilwell, as well as several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James "Hog" Dupler, daughter-in-law Alicia Dupler, and son-in-law Chris Hammett. Mary also mourned the loss of her brothers George, Harold, Junior, and Charles, as well as her sister, Eileen Tedrick.

As per Mary’s wishes, she would not have wanted anyone to wear black at her service, reflecting her vibrant spirit that celebrated life.

Visitation services will be held on September 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, located at 207 S Main St, Baltimore, OH 43105. A funeral service will take place on September 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM, where family and friends are invited to gather to commemorate a life fully lived and loved.

Mary L. Dupler will be remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, whose laughter and light will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her A.K.A. the woman who holds babies.
