Max E. Wildermuth, 95, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at Primose Retirement Community. He was born on Saturday, November 2, 1929, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Bernard and Ida (Smith) Wildermuth.
Max retired from Boeing North American Aviation in 1989. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was inducted into the Southeastern Ohio division of the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 2015.
He was a devoted husband to Sarah, who passed in 2018. Max is survived by his children, Karen (Steve Kinser) Ray, Connie (Joe) DeFillippo, James (Julie) Wildermuth, and Jill (JR) Rainey; grandchildren, Andrew (Joanie) Ray, Mark (Kaerie) Ray, Jess (Jennifer) Wildermuth, Stacy Wildermuth, Anna (Erec) Fink, Justin Wildermuth, and Michael (Amanda) DeFillippo, and great-grandchildren, Jillian, Hannah, Thomas, Luke, A.J., Maxwell, Alexander, Olivia, Ryan, Samuel, Kimble, Kase, Joseph, and Jamison. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Wildermuth.
